Started in 2012 by José Juan Puebla, we aim to provide fun, safe, ecologically conscious experiences that showcase our wonderful little corner of the world, the La Paz Bay and Espiritu Santo Island. We are located on the Gulf of California, and are home to an impressive array of wildlife including whale sharks that come to feed on the rich cold water up-swellings from October to May; sea lions, who live here year round and have a colony on the northern tip of Espiritu Santo Island; migrating whales of various species, usually found during winter; Mobula, or devil, rays, which are found year round but form huge aggregations in April and May, jumping out of the water in one of nature’s great mysteries; and many other species of birds, fish and plants.
Excellent whale shark expedition with highly competent and conservation-minded guides. We swam with several of these majestic creatures in our time together. The operators were very kind to store our bags in the shop before and during the tour, as we had checked out of our airbnb and didn’t want to leave everything in the car. Highly recommend.
Jose and his team were amazing! He was so knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell he truly has a passion for the ocean and the life it supports. This experience was unforgettable and will definitely be booking another excursion with him when we visit again.
Research aside, Eco Migrations created a thoughtful and comfortable camping experience. The food was amazing, many thanks to the incredible chefs! The evening sunset walks, with whales, dolphins, and birds abound it was a wonderful way to end each day.
It was even better than expected! We took our 14 month old baby and she even got a life vest. We felt so safe and it was amazing. Eco migrations is the best agency for this trip!!
We saw the whale sharks and snorkeld with them. They even brought their go pro and we got a video of everything (we got snacks but no drinks :(. )
