Discover the wild beauty of the Sea of Cortez on this one-of-a-kind ecotour from La Paz, Baja California Sur.
This tour is an 8.5-hour adventure that brings together snorkeling with sea lions, relaxing on the beaches of Espíritu Santo Island, and paddleboarding along its stunning shoreline on our exclusive multi-person boards.
We begin early to take advantage of peak wildlife activity and to beat the crowds. The first stop is Los Islotes, a rocky islet and protected sea lion colony. Here, you’ll snorkel among playful pups and colorful reef fish. (During the sea lion mating season from June to August, Los Islotes is closed. Therefore, we snorkel at San Rafaelito Reef instead.)
After snorkeling, we head to a quiet beach for a homemade fish ceviche lunch (vegan options available), then explore the coast by Mega Paddleboard. It’s a relaxed, social way to take in the island’s dramatic landscapes and spot wildlife in this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Seasonal sightings may include sea turtles, mobula rays, dolphins, or even humpback whales. Ideal for families, groups of friends, and nature enthusiasts, this tour offers a blend of adventure, nature, and revitalizing downtime.
Led by local, bilingual naturalist guides, our small-group tours adhere to strict eco-friendly practices to help protect the unique biodiversity of Espíritu Santo Island and the Sea of Cortez.
